* Young mothers who dropped out of school after bearing children,

* Single mothers or widows,

OUR MISSION.

To train young people to acquire practical skills for successful and productive careers in order to enable them be self-supporting.

OUR GOAL.

Have young people with improved socioeconomic status to enable them live as responsible and useful citizens.

MAIN OBJECTIVES.

1. To equip the target group with practical skills that will enable them earn income to meet their daily needs.

2. To reduce hunger and poverty among the target groups’ families through training in sustainable farming practical skills.

3. To reduce the rate of young people involved in bad habits like prostitution, theft, drug addiction, begging and going to the streets.

WHY WE STARTED THE SCHOOL.

Vocational training and sustainable farming are critical components to enhance productivity, stimulate economic competitiveness and lift young people out of poverty.

About 50% of the poor young people are unable to enroll for secondary school education mainly due to lack support to pay tuition fees.  Most of them who are unable to continue with formal education return to their villages with out any skill or training which can enable them seek for gainful employment or to create their own jobs to earn some income for their well being. This is more prevalent among the orphans and vulnerable children who have lost one or both parents at a tender age.

80% of the orphans are not able to continue with their formal or secondary education due to lack of a parent to support with tuition fees and scholastic materials. The orphaned children are raised by elderly guardians, fellow children, widows or single mothers, and other family relatives. Sadly the elderly guardians are too weak, old and most of the orphans are too young and unskilled to obtain sufficient income to support themselves and their families.

Most of the young youths stop their education in order to engage in subsistence farming. Unfortunately they lack adequate farming skills to produce enough food and cash crops to meet their daily needs.

Due to the poor living conditions that young people are faced with, they are forced to engage in bad habits such as prostitution, begging, theft, drug abuse, going on the streets, in order to earn some little money for their survival.

If young people are not equipped with the necessary skills, the rate of unemployed young people will increase hence causing enormous effects for our society in the future. This will also produce children raised by parents living unworthy lives hence their children also growing up in a very bad environment.

Therefore, through our vocational and secondary school we endeavor to impart practical skills to help them find work, earn money and to embrace the future.
